‘Will a parallel counter culture emerge from Hollywood scandal?

December 29, 2017

END OF AN ERA? “I believe the industry is going to collapse in on itself and collectively evaporate and the people who emerge unscathed from these sensational scandals are going to disappear into high-quality TV and there is a huge market for original content from tech companies and there will be a lot of talent in front and behind the camera when Hollywood collectively closes for business and it seems inevitable to me.” – Author of Despicable Milo Yiannapoulos.

SPIRITUAL TRUTHS: Christians in Iraq. “They (The Left) hate those same Western, Christian values that made capitalism possible, that all the Western countries we have nice places to live – Canada, the US, Germany, France, the UK, Australia. What do they all have in common? Christianity. It is an irrefutable fact that the nice parts of the world are Christian, and the more horrible bits of the world aren’t.” – Milo Yiannapoulos. SEISMIC SHIFT: “No decent man can draw breath in that feted swamp and survive this concentration of evil, corruption and collusion is going to break apart in ways impossible to fathom, but it is going to bring a breath of fresh air to the cultural landscape the like of which we have not seen since the 1950s.” – Atheist You Tuber and philosopher Stefan Molyneux of Freedomain Radio.

PARALLEL CULTURE: “We need to build more parallel powerful, more persuasive and effective institutions to the ones they already have – this means university departments, movie makers, novelists, stand-up comics and build a parallel entertainment industry and we need to build it over the next 50 years.” – Milo Yiannopoulos.

WILL the sex abuse scandal that has engulfed Hollywood and the entertainment industry trigger a sea change in consumer change in popular culture both here and across the pond?

This was the subject touched in a Christmas podcast between Stefan Molyneux and provocateur and journalist Milo Yiannapoulos who wrote the New York Times best-selling book Dangerous and he is about to launch another book called Despicable, in which he and others will out more powerful figures tied up in the ongoing Hollywood scandal.

Molyneux, who heads Freedomain Radio, claims the implosion of Hollywood will lead to opportunities to new talent that will change the way popular culture is now parked and could help directors and writers who have content that didn’t pass the “politically-correct” screen plays and agendas.

‘Force field keeps out deplorables’

“If you are a decent, moral person and you go into this Sodom and Gomorrah of Hollywood, into this you know wretched Dante and ‘Hellscape’ predation and exploitation. It’s almost like you know if you’re in academia and you’re not on the left, you are in this force field and they won’t hire you, they won’t give you tenure should you be lingering.

“It is almost this repulsion of virtue force field that has gone on for decades and decades in Hollywood that no decent man can draw breath in that feted swamp and survive this concentration of evil, corruption and collusion is going to break apart in ways impossible to fathom, but it is going to bring a breath of fresh air to the cultural landscape the like of which we have not seen since the 1950s.

‘Tech companies want original content’

Yiannapoulus replied: “It will be nice for Hollywood to rediscover some moral foundation. I don’t think it is going to happen.

“I believe the industry is going to collapse in on itself and collectively evaporate and the people who emerge unscathed from these sensational scandals are going to disappear into high-quality TV and there is a huge market for original content from tech companies and there will be a lot of talent in front and behind the camera when Hollywood collectively closes for business and it seems inevitable to me.

‘Do as I say, not do as I do’

“It is a nice end to an industry that has lectured the rest of us, finger-wagged, bossed us about, presumed to dictate to the rest of us how to vote in elections whilst turning a blind eye to the most appalling abuses on their own doorstep and producing garbage.”

“There seems to be no space for provocative, interesting and wholesome story-telling and there is no space in Hollywood for stories that tell us about ourselves, stories that investigate who we are and what we believe and our place in the world without it being completed depraved and exploitative like Mother (the movie).”

Yiannapoulos, who is gay, predicts the industry will close in on itself in 2018 and he predicts they could become an inward-looking echo chamber seeking sanctuary from the public and journalists.

‘Will Oscars be safe-space echo chamber?’

“I’ve already reached out to a couple of them (Hollywood contacts) in this book and they are recommending that everybody they represent at the award shows and they are trying to push the award shows to go closed, no red carpet, no public audiences – these (award shows) are going to become hermetically sealed little worlds in which the celebrities are bussed in, applaud themselves, say some social justice shit and get bussed right out again.

‘Don’t ask awkward questions’

“They can’t bear the thought of being confronted by the public or journalists, because any journalist on the red carpet will ask ‘what did you know when and why didn’t you say anything and they created this environment, they did to themselves and so it’s delicious and it’s wonderful.”

In an interesting exchange of opinions on Christianity, atheist Molyneux focuses in on Hollywood and the Mainstream Media’s hatred of the Church and Yiannopoulos, who is in a same-sex marriage and a non-practicing Catholic, says he enjoys the freedoms he has due to the West’s Judeo-Christian heritage.

‘Hollywood and MSM hates Christian values’

Molyneux said: “It seems their (the Left’s) hatred for is not for small or big government, but the hatred they have is for Christian values and for Christian morals. Can you think of the last time a priest was portrayed sympathetically in the media? The amount of energy Hollywood and academia and the MSM poured into exposing Catholic sexual abuses, yet they skate over the dangers of single motherhood households; the dangers of government-run schools and the dangers for adults and children in Hollywood.”

‘Debase oneself for fleeting fame’

Yiannapoulos responded: “This is a sinister, corrupt, abusive system where women have to prostitute and debase themselves for temporary fleeting fame and riches. One of the big depictions of the Catholic Church was in the Da Vinci Code, where religion isn’t just painted suspiciously, but painted as sick. Remember that Albino monk who was whipping himself.

“The Catholic Church is presented as this weird, alien death cult. They hate those same Western, Christian values that made capitalism possible, that all the Western countries we have nice places to live – Canada, the US, Germany, France, the UK, Australia.

“What do they all have in common? Christianity. It is an irrefutable fact that the nice parts of the world are Christian, and the more horrible bits of the world aren’t.”

‘Pendulum will swing sharply the other way’

Yiannapoulos said that a lot of personal bile has been directed at him, Gavin McInnes, Tomi Lahren, Bill O’Reilly; The Daily Caller, Breitbart News, Paul Joseph Watson, Matt Drudge, Rebel Media and other alternative news platforms and they are still standing.

“2017 is when the Pendulum just clocked over to the other side and after 30 years for being policed for our language, our beliefs and our dress sense and what hair-style we have, now things are going to swing very hard and very heavily in the other direction.

‘The Left has nothing left’

“Politicians who don’t get behind that will lose and journalists who do not embrace that will lose. The left threw everything at us (the alt right) and it didn’t work. What have they tried? They’ve tried racist, sexist, homophobe, paedophile apologist, white supremacist, Neo Nazi, there is literally nothing left. The left has nothing as there is nothing left.

“We need to build more parallel powerful, more persuasive and effective institutions to the ones they already have – this means university departments, movie makers, novelists, stand-up comics and build a parallel entertainment industry and we need to build it over the next 50 years.”
