INCREDIBLE JOURNEY: UK national Sebastian Gorka, was born in London to Hungarian parents, and is known in some political circles as one of the architects of the election fo Donald Trump as US president. Picture by Gage Skidmore.

AMAZING RECORD: “Donald J Trump is an unstoppable force of nature. He has already – in less than 24 months – achieved more than most presidents achieve in eight years. I just turned 48, if I had even a quarter of that 72-year-old man’s energy, I would be a happy man.” Sebastian Gorka on his former boss Donald Trump. Picture by Sheelah Craighead.

A FORMER intelligence analyst and political strategist revealed the personal experiences of his immediately family that motivated him to fight modern-day tyranny.

Sebastian Lukács Gorka served as a deputy assistant to US president Donald Trump from his election to 25 August 2017. A regular panelist on Fox News, he was born to Hungarian parents in the UK and moved to the US in the mid-Noughties.

Known for this no-nonsense approach to mainstream journalists, he tends to touch subjects others would fear to tread but this speech to the David Horowitz Center Restoration Weekend last month in Palm Beach, Florida.

In his speech, Gorka referred to the charity The Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, which released an annual poll which said that 52 per cent of US millennials wished to live in a Socialist or Communist state.

‘The counter-culture is now conservative’

Gorka said: “The majority of American children want to live in a system that tortured my father, and executed people in their millions. But here is the good news, American counter-culture is now Conservative. We have to oversee a DNA-level recombination of split genes between David Horowitz, Milo and the likes of Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens or otherwise, that number is going to increase.

‘He was betrayed by Philby but still settled in UK’

Gorka relayed the story of his father Paul, who first lived under Nazi occupation, and then Communist rule, resisting their authority through forming a resistance organisation and him being betrayed by the British double agent Kim Philby. His father’s personal experience is spelled out in the first chapter of his book, Defeating Jihad: The Winnable War

‘My Dad walked through ruins of Budapest as a boy’

“The first thing I had to do was connect with my audience. The prologue of defeating jihad meant the first chapter being about a 15-year-old boy walking through the streets of Budapest after Nazi occupation and the total destruction of his beloved country, who has hope for the future but then, at the age of 18, sees his country not taken by the fascists, but now the Communists.

Paul Gorka and nine others helped to create a secret organisation at their college under the noses of the Hungarian Communist regime but they were all betrayed by the UK double agent Kim Philby and despite his experiences, he and his wife ended up going there to live.

Gorka said: “Philby betrayed this man and nine of his fellow patriots were put on a show trial, tortured and arrested and given a life sentence.

“One of them was executed and the rest ended up in prison and that man was of course my father.

‘My parents crawled through a minefield to freedom’

“He was liberated by the Hungarian resistance in 1956 and with the help of a 17-year-old prison mate, literally crawled across a minefield to freedom, were married and those were my parents.

‘We need to know the totalitarian threat we face today’

“Whenever anybody meeting me wants to talk about ‘Defeating Jihad’ do they want to talk about Saeed Khatoub, the evolutionary founder of the Muslim Brotherhood or Al Qaeda? No, they want to talk about my father’s story and the understanding of the totalitarian threat today whether it is posed by Communists, fascists or Jihadis.

‘The loss of freedom is always but one generation away’

“We have to teach people from experience what it means to live under Communism, or under Socialism and what it does to the human soul and that Ronald Reagan was right when he said the ‘the loss of freedom is always but one generation away’.

‘If I even had a quarter of his energy, I would be happy’

Speaking about his time under Trump, Gorka has these observations to make on his former boss: “”Donald J Trump is an unstoppable force of nature. He has already – in less than 24 months – achieved more than most presidents achieve in eight years. I just turned 48, if I had even a quarter of that 72-year-old man’s energy, I would be a happy man.”
